David Starr is a certified personal trainer by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and earned his CPR and First-Aid certifications from the American Heart Association. David is available for personal training in-home or at his private studio at 2200 S. Monaco. His specialties include Chi Running, TRX golf and suspension training, weight loss/gain, body toning, strength and flexibility training, and core strengthening. David believes that everyone has the potential to change their physical fitness levels and develop the athlete within. He is not only passionate about his fitness but also passionate about changing the lives of others. His plan includes helping you achieve your fitness and health goals, preventing injury and education on proper health and nutrition. Jeff Newton has been involved in a variety of martial arts for 21 years. Mr. Newton currently holds a 3rd degree black belt in Ed Parker’s Kenpo Karate under Mr. Bob White, a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu under Erik Paulson and he is also a level 2 instructor for the Modern Army Combative (US Army). Jeff has competed professionally in mixed martial arts also know as ultimate fighting for King of the Cage and the UFC also known as the Ultimate Fighting Championships. In 1992 he was the #1 ranked light heavy weight fighter for the North American Sport Karate Association (NASKA) and competed both nationally and internationally. In 2006 Jeff was a guest instructor at the Santa Ana police department to teach arrest and control techniques and multiple assailant strategies. Currently Jeff owns and operates Modern Combat Sports in Denver and specializes in personal training, martial arts for kids and adults and specialized women’s self defense clinics.
